On 10 February 2022, the 6th International Festival of Snow Art in Pontresina came to an end. Teams from Canada, the USA, France, Russia, Denmark, Mexico, Spain and Switzerland presented their mighty works of art made of snow on the Via Maistra. The theme for this event was "BELLA FIGURA". Over 15 tonnes of snow were moved and worked. The festival lasted from 12 December to 10 February. The exhibition organisers from Pontresina Cultura succeeded in bringing a selection of the best teams to Pontresina to realise another significant art project in urban space.

Kunstwege | Vias d'art Pontresina is a unique and ambitious festival of art on snow - in a breathtaking setting. The event only takes place every three years. A visit to the Kunstwege takes you to the lively village of Pontresina in the Upper Engadine. This winter, the Via Maistra will host snow objects on the theme "Bella Figura". The best snow art teams in the world create a dream of snow and light. Come and discover the magical impressions of these masterful works of art and craftsmanship.

The "Bella Figura" sculptures are located on Via Maistra, between the Rondo Cultural Centre and the Walther Hotel. You can reach all the sculptures on foot: 1 km / 30 minutes. Get off at the Engadin Bus Rondo or Post stop, parking spaces in the centre, station within easy reach.
The objects are illuminated every day from 5 pm. You will find an information board and an exhibition guide next to each object. Scan the QR code and your smartphone will show you descriptions of the sculptures with translations in English, French and Italian. On the website you will also find interesting information about the teams, the genesis of the sculptures, photo galleries and retrospectives of the Kunstwege summer and winter exhibitions. When you are on the move, use the "Free WiFi Engadin" WLAN network, which offers you free Internet access along the Via Maistra.
