Allegra. In the summer of 2026, Pontresina has once again been transformed into an open-air gallery. “espace public space” is a multifaceted tribute to art in public spaces along the Via Maistra in Pontresina. The exhibition organisers are looking forward to another significant experience of contemporary art in public spaces. There are 16 art installations by ten renowned artists to discover. The anthology marking the 20th anniversary of the exhibition series will be published in August 2026.

Pontresina Culture and Congress Centre, Foyer, 1st floor
Featuring a welcome address by the editor Benno Conrad and Kalina Sutter of Pontresina Cultura, a welcome speech by Andrea Conrad, Head of Cultural Promotion at the Graubünden Office for Culture, a performance by the artist Silvia Buol, and a staged reading entitled ‘More than Art’.
Some of the contributing authors – Ursula Badrutt, Dr Simon Baur, Christoph Doswald, Johannes M. Hedinger, Göri Klainguti, Dr Nicole Seeberger, Dr Cordula Seger, Prof. Jürg Stäuble and Karine Tissot – will be in attendance.

6.15 pm Opening of the ‘KUNST-HANDWERK-PONTRESINA’ exhibition. Painting, sculpture, photography, arts and crafts or design – experience the creative diversity of art and craftsmanship at this triennial exhibition featuring local artists. Rondo Culture and Congress Centre, Foyer, 2nd floor.
